Business Capital Resource Center (BCRC)

Services > Advising > Consulting > Legal

Adequate capital is the key to any successful business. For a new business, it could mean the difference between success and failure. For an existing business, it plays an important part in the growth strategy. Whatever stage your business is in, you should make financial commitments only after careful thought, planning, and research to ensure they are right for you and your business.

At the Center, you can get assistance in writing business plans and loan proposals, locate local capital resources, and get information on a full range of financial products with the help of a Business Advisor. Our How To Build a Business Plan workshop and SBA Loans Briefings are offered year round. You many also meet with our BCRC Advisor individually to go over your business plan and financials in more detail. Call the Lane Business Development Center at 541-463-5255 for more information or to set up an appointment.

Questions to consider:
  1. Do you have a start-up or an existing business?
  2. What type of business do you have?
  3. What is your experience in this industry?
  4. Do you have a written business plan?
  5. Do you need financing for this project? If yes, what is the purpose of the proposed financing?
  6. How much do you need?
  7. How much is your own investment into this project?
  8. Can you afford the financial liability?
  9. What is your contingency plan for repayment if financial goals do not materialize?
